New Student Orientation - Fall 2024

We strive to make each student feel welcomed and prepared to achieve academic success, personal growth, and meaningful connections.

Chadron State College's Orientation provides the opportunity to:

  • Understand academic expectations and introduce students to Chadron State College’s student life
  • Develop a sense of belonging within the Chadron State community
  • Introduce support services dedicated to successful student life

Chadron State College requires all new first-year and transfer undergraduate, degree-seeking students enrolling at Chadron State for the first time to attend either the In-Person Student Orientation or the Online Student Orientation. We'll introduce you to our unique approach to education and connect you to staff, faculty, and campus resources.

Parent and Guest Registration

We are pleased your student will be attending CSC and joining the Eagle Family this fall. As a parent/guest you are encouraged to attend our Orientation and Move-In events with your student.

All online students will have an Online Orientation available mid-July on their MyCSC Dashboard. Online Orientation information will be a resource for foundational knowledge for all students.

Each student is assessed a $100 fee to their Fall bill, which covers the cost of the Orientation and Move-In events for your student and two (2) guests. Students who registered additional guests are charged $50 for each additional guest over the age of ten (10).  Information confirming guest registration will be sent to your student in the mail and via EagleMail.

For guest updates for Move-In programming in August, students will have a Move-In Guest Change form on their MyCSC To-do's in Mid-July.

Both the Orientation fee and fees for additional guests are flat-rate fees. Fees cannot and will not be prorated if students, parents and/or guests choose not to attend any portion of the event.
